Singularitales.com aims to deliver a high-bandwidth, high-bitrate stream of Accelerated science-fiction to readers whose minds are always twenty minutes in the future! Enjoy hard sci-fi from the exponentially-developing near future, the transcendant chaos of the Singularity itself, and the strange ages following in the Singularity's wake, brought to you by some of the most cutting-edge authors of the new millenium.
Fiction for an Accelerated Future
"An analysis of the history of technology shows that technological change is exponential, contrary to the common-sense 'intuitive linear' view. So we won't experience 100 years of progress in the 21st century—it will be more like 20,000 years of progress (at today's rate)." - Raymond Kurzweil.
A Note to All Writers, Readers, and Robots
Singularitales.com is currently under heavy construction, and will not officially open for business until (hopefully) 14 July 2007. Work on the site will be sporadic until then, as I (Derek C. F. Pegritz: editor, site admin, designer, etc.) am currently looking for a new job and a new apartment/house for rent. Alas, the trials of being a thoroughly-average Human 1.0 trying to make it in a pre-nanoassembly economy built on concepts of “scarcity” and free-market resource allocation. Nonetheless, Singularitales.com wishes to send a big thank-you to all the folks who have already begun to submit stories; and a slightly bigger thank-you to Michael Anissimov, of Accelerating Future fame, for mentioning our humble effort on his blog and thereby leading many of you reading this here.
Be sure to check back on July 14th, when we finally take the last wraps off of the site!
